So you know where I'm coming from: My current game has seen me complete all faction quests and DLC questlines. This is usually what I look for as a warning sign, and usually the length of time it takes for me save is an early indicator. Just to tag along on what neutralzoned said, it's more the sudden increase in save size that's indicative of bloat than the gradual growth of the save over time. They might take over a full minute to load or change locations, no idea there, but it can still work! +10MB out of nowhere, that's a red flag and you should check what you were doing around that time that might have triggered itĮdit: If it helps, I've seen testimonies of people with 100MB+ games still kicking strong. If all the sudden your save jumps to say. If you let it, modding and best practice OCD can consume you to the point you can't let yourself just enjoy the game for what it is. Glancing, I wouldn't say your save is particularly super bloated compared to anyone that's cleared the same amount of content, but it is likely somewhat bloated. In the end it depends on what mods you are using, how good your modding practices are, and what you do in game It can be tricky to pinpoint the biggest offenders without doing indepth testing and online research. You might get 80 hours in, or 800, or you might start getting constant CTDs anytime. Might get flack for this one, but it is my understanding your game will eventually become unplayable no matter WHAT you do. Skyrim itself, especially if you use no unofficial patches, is arguably the biggest offender with causing save bloat I understand it has been patched so this may not be a problem anymore with it at least I know certain Birds mods like SkyBirds was particularly bad about this. Your save gets bombarded or "bloated" with references that weren't cleanup up and/or script routines that need not be in play, are in play and still hanging around active for no good reason. Over-simplified and probably a little off but it'll give you an idea: Will a save file this large kill my save given all remaining quests? So far, the game is 100% playable except those three times I rode a dragon and fast travelled while dragon hunting (mage destruction build works quite well while riding a dragon-dogfight), which cause Infinite Loading Screen.

I've finished Main Quest, Civil War, All Daedric Quests, Acquired Kohnarik's Mask, Acquired Almost all shouts except for Battle Fury, Dawnguard, Dragonborn, Thane of almost all holds except Solitude and Gray Cowl of Nocturnal.
